This is your first step into professional acupuncture training (course code PG3 Pt 1).
It is taught from both a clinical and practical perspective with circa 50% of most attendance days focused to this by real case cameo, clinical and practical workshops.
Our BICCOM Style is by demonstration, doing, giving, receiving, sharing, discussion, feedback, review and development.
Novices with no experience, therapists and experienced professionals ALL START HERE.
Novices may possibly take longer to complete the circa 18 to 26 month course. This is determined at entry and also during the course itself. Reaching the correct clinical standard is the key issue.
You will be enabled to achieve this outcome.
Experienced professionals, therapists etc should complete this course on schedule or may apply to fast track i.e. finishing earlier than the 'normal schedule'. In such cases they will have a c.v. indicating prior clinical experience in some form. On occasions another individual's own bespoke BICCOM course may dovetail into and out of the set accredited acupuncture clinician schedule. Our Professional Institute has these exciting opportunities.

The Accredited Acupuncture Clinician Qualifications & Licence Course brings you to a Safe Competent Level of Clinical Practice, Qualification and Professional Registration under Approved, Registered, Accredited Annual Professional Licence here in the UK enabling malpractice insurance through our approved broker.
The accredited acupuncture clinician course is circa 54 to 60 days** of college attendance
(**depending upon experience, aptitude, clinical exposure / experience and ability).
Plus weekly, essential guided home study and home practice. This course is usually taken over circa 18 to 26 months i.e. approximately two years, depending upon factors such as College involvement in overseas projects etc and course members needs. Where a course member wishes to extend their training attendance & course duration, or the college advise it, then upon application and written agreement this is provided.
A pro rata additional fee for that agreement will also apply.
There is a set fee for this set course attendance and distance learning.

This is an administrative process providing photographic and documentary evidence of the foregoing, leading to Initial Professional Awards and Initial Professional Registration.
You are required to demonstrate evidence of the establishment and development of your professional OHT Health Service, which is practical and clinical in focus along with the completion of the required documentation for Professional Registration, Insurance etc.
Your demonstration of these processes include the required professional practices of effective, safe and hygienic procedures, completing and keeping records etc.

There are a maximum of 10 attendance hours in total allocated for this Professional Establishment Programme and can be achieved in 2 Days or 4 Part Day attendances. This includes the Newly Qualified Professional Programme and the Ongoing Career Development Programme. These include guidance and both programmes continue over a maximum two year period

The whole Professional Establishment Programme training process leading to Advanced & Full Professional Status therefore takes 16 Days of attendance from the first OHT. Dip course attendance day.
The fee for this Final Stage is £200 and is extra to the OHT. Dip 14 Day Course Fee. This is only paid after Initial Qualification and Licensed Registration has been achieved when you enter professional practice.
